Information to be included in written paper

 

****Important**** – The following list of criteria is NOT the only information required.  The more information you can supply will increase your results, GREATLY!

• General type (Piano, opera, orchestral, vocal, metal, blues, jazz, hip hop, punk, pop, club, dance, etc.).
• Describe the music in detail and the important word is DETAIL!
• Major and minor musical influences
• Volume of work (How much stuff was created)
• His/her/their successfulness.
• Description, physical appearance and personality traits.
• Personal influences.
• All possible dates, not just birth and death, of importance.
• Locations, areas of the world the person spent valuable time studying, traveling for leisure, searching for inspiration, etc………..
• Why he choose music as a career or his style of composing.
• Any collaborations, relationships with other artists and any other important people in the composer’s life.
• All other important or exciting little bits of stuff from the closet, i.e. get some dirt if possible.

Note: Theses items do not have to be in the above order or necessarily be included, but your work must make sense and flow well.  And remember, you are trying to sell this artist to the audience so make it exciting and demonstrate your wealth of knowledge of this person.
